Nail Extensions Price in Singapore 2026: What a Full Set Really Costs
A full set of nail extensions in Singapore typically costs $91 to $152, with a median of $123 across the 16 salon menus we reviewed. The cheapest standard set we found was $68, acrylic and gel-tip sets start lowest, and sculpted gel sets run about $150 to $200.
That’s roughly two and a half times the price of a plain gel manicure, and the set is only the start: infills, removal and nail art all add up. This guide breaks down what each type costs, what pushes the price up, and what extensions really cost to keep.

Nail Extension Prices in Singapore at a Glance
During our marketplace research (April to September 2026) we read the menus of Singapore nail salons and studios. For each one we took the cheapest standard full set of extensions with a single colour, and left out first-trial offers, promotions and packages.
| Tier | Full set | Share of salons | What’s usually different |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget | Under $100 | About 1 in 3 | Acrylic, gel-tip and simpler sets at neighbourhood and mall salons |
| Mid-range | $100 to $149 | About 2 in 5 | Gel extensions at dedicated nail studios |
| Premium | $150 and up | About 1 in 3 | Gel extension sets at specialist studios, including Japanese-style ones |
The middle of the market sits right around $123. The cheapest standard set we found was $68 and the dearest was $200. Most fell between $91 and $152.
Price by Type of Nail Extension
What you pay depends a lot on the technique. These are the patterns on the same 16 menus.
| Type | What it is | Typical price on the menus we reviewed |
|---|---|---|
| Gel tips (soft-gel tips) | Pre-shaped tips bonded with gel | From $68; the gel-tip sets we saw ran $68 to $153 |
| Acrylic | Powder and liquid sculpted over the nail or a tip | From about $70; the lowest entry prices in our data |
| Hard gel | Hard gel built over a tip or form | The hard gel sets we saw ran about $80 to $110 |
| Sculpted gel extensions | Gel built and shaped on a form, often longer sessions | About $150 to $200 |
| Gel overlay (the BIAB family) | Strengthening gel on your natural length, no added length | Only three menus priced it: about $60 to $120 |
Two things stood out in our research. No captured menu used the name “Gel-X”, even though it’s a common search term; soft-gel tip sets are the nearest equivalent. And no menu named BIAB or builder gel, so we can’t give you a typical BIAB price. The few gel overlay prices we found ran about $60 to $120. Our BIAB nails guide explains how BIAB differs from extensions.
Not sure which technique suits you? Our honest comparison of BIAB, gel and acrylic weighs up length, strength and nail health.
What Pushes the Price Up
1. Technique. Sculpted gel takes the longest and sits at the top. Acrylic and gel tips start lowest.
2. Length and shape. Longer nails and sharper shapes like coffin or stiletto take more product and more time. Ask whether the price covers the length you want.
3. Nail art. The prices above are for a single colour. French tips, chrome, cat-eye and hand-painted designs are usually charged on top, per nail or per design.
4. Per-nail pricing. Some studios price extensions per nail. On the menus that list it, that ran from about $8 to $25 a nail. Handy for fixing one broken nail; a full set usually works out cheaper at the set price.
5. Removal of an old set. Taking off hard gel or extensions costs more than a gel soak-off. Where menus listed it, extension or hard gel removal ran about $35 to $60.
6. Where you book. Specialist studios in town and Japanese-style studios sit in the premium tier. Neighbourhood salons sit lower.
7. Nett or “++”. Some menus add GST on top. Check before you compare.
Infills: The Real Running Cost
Extensions grow out with your natural nails, so most people go back every few weeks for an infill (also called a fill or rebalance): the gap at the cuticle is filled and the shape is corrected.
Infill prices are the thinnest part of our data. Only two menus we reviewed priced an infill next to a full set, and there the infill cost roughly 60 to 80% of a new set. That’s too few to call typical, and salons vary a lot. Some charge per nail, some treat a late infill as a new set. Ask what an infill costs, and within how many weeks, when you request your booking on Glamingo.
How Much Do Nail Extensions Cost per Month?
Here’s a rough picture using the $123 median set. These are our estimates, rounded, not quotes, and the infill line assumes about 70% of a new set (the middle of the two menus above).
| How you keep them | Roughly per month |
|---|---|
| Infill every 3 weeks | About $120 |
| New full set every 4 weeks | About $130 |
| One set for an event, then removal | $123 once, plus about $35 to $60 to remove |
If that feels steep, a plain gel manicure costs a median $48 on the menus we reviewed and needs no infills. Our gel nails price guide has the full breakdown.
First-Trial Prices and Packages
Some studios run first-trial extension offers. The ones we saw ran from about $75 to $138, compared with the regular set prices above. They’re a fair way to try a studio, but infills and your next set are charged at the normal rate.
Be careful with packages. Try a studio for a set and at least one infill, and pay per visit before you commit to anything upfront.
How to Get a Fair Price
- Bring a photo and ask for the price of that exact length, shape and design.
- Ask what an infill costs, and within how many weeks.
- Ask what removal costs, and never pry extensions off yourself. The GelBottle, the brand behind BIAB, warns that picking, peeling or forcing product off damages the nail plate; have it filed down and soaked off properly.
- Check nett or “++”.
- Look past the cheapest set. A set that lifts in a week costs more than a good one that lasts.
- Pay per visit before any package.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much are nail extensions in Singapore?
A full set of nail extensions in Singapore typically costs $91 to $152. Across the 16 salon menus we reviewed, the median was $123, the cheapest standard set was $68 and the dearest was $200. Acrylic and gel-tip sets start lowest, while sculpted gel sets run about $150 to $200.
How much does a nail extension infill cost?
Salons vary, and our data is thin here. Only two menus we reviewed priced an infill next to a full set, and there the infill cost roughly 60 to 80% of a new set. Some studios charge per nail or treat a late infill as a new set, so ask when you book.
Are acrylic nails cheaper than gel extensions?
Usually, yes. In our research, acrylic and gel-tip sets had the lowest entry prices, from about $68 to $70, while sculpted gel extension sets ran about $150 to $200. Length, shape and nail art can move either one up, so ask for the price of the exact set you want.
How much is BIAB in Singapore?
We can’t give a typical BIAB price, because no salon menu in our research named BIAB or builder gel. The closest service, a gel overlay on natural nails, appeared on only three menus, at about $60 to $120 for a full set. Confirm the exact product and price when you book.
How much does it cost to remove nail extensions?
Where menus listed it, removing extensions or hard gel cost about $35 to $60, more than a standard gel soak-off. Removal takes time because the product has to be filed down and soaked off gently. Never pry extensions off yourself, because forcing product off damages the nail plate.
