Christmas Nails Singapore 2026: 15 Designs + When to Book

Christmas Day 2026 lands on a Friday, which means one thing for your nails: the week of 19 to 24 December is going to be packed. Office parties, Christmas dinners with friends, the family lunch, then New Year’s Eve a week later. Every nail tech in Singapore knows it, and their December calendars fill up fast.

So here’s the plan. Below are 15 Christmas nail designs worth booking this year, what to actually ask for at the salon, what they cost on the menus we’ve collected, and a simple countdown for when to book what, so one set carries you from your first party to the countdown.

Prices below come from the published menus of Singapore salons on Glamingo (Nov 2026). They’re starting prices: the cheapest full, regular service on each menu. Detailed art, longer nails and premium salons sit above them.

First, pick your base: gel, BIAB or extensions

Every design below sits on one of three bases. Pick this first, because it decides how long your set lasts and what it costs.

  • Gel nails usually start at $40 to $70 (87 salons, median $50). Best for most people: glossy, chip-resistant, two to three weeks of wear.
  • BIAB (builder gel) is booked under nail extensions on most menus, where starting prices run $75 to $110 (52 salons, median $90). BIAB adds strength to your natural nails without much length. It tends to suit people whose nails bend or peel, and it often wears a little longer than gel polish.
  • Full extensions (hard gel, tips, acrylic) sit in the same $75 to $110 starting band and go up with length. You need them for long almond or coffin shapes and 3D bows.

Already wearing gel? Most menus charge a soak-off add-on, commonly $10 to $20. Not sure which base you need? Our BIAB vs gel vs acrylic comparison walks through it.

The 15 Christmas nail designs to book

Nail art is usually priced as an add-on on top of your base. On the menus we’ve captured, nail art rows start at $10 to $35 (median about $20). Always ask whether a design is priced per nail or per set, because that’s where bills jump.

Midnight blue (this year’s alternative to red)

1. Solid midnight blue gel.

Solid midnight blue gel

A deep, inky navy that reads festive without a single snowflake. Ask for: one-colour gel, high-gloss top coat. Price: just your gel base.

2. Midnight blue with silver stars.

Midnight blue with silver stars

Tiny stars or a “constellation” scattered across two accent nails. Ask for: gel plus simple hand-painted or sticker art on accents. Price: base plus a small art add-on.

3. Midnight blue cat-eye.

 Midnight blue cat-eye

A magnetic gel that catches the light like velvet. Ask for: cat-eye or magnetic gel. Cat-eye usually shows up as an add-on; the handful of menus we’ve captured that list it price it at roughly $10 to $40.

Red and cranberry

4. Cranberry chrome.

Cranberry chrome

Deep berry red with a chrome powder buffed over the top for a glassy, metallic finish. Ask for: dark red gel plus chrome powder. Chrome is also usually an add-on (about $20 to $40 on the few menus that list it).

5. Glossy classic red.

Glossy classic red

The Christmas staple, and still the most flattering on every skin tone. Ask for: one-colour red gel, short almond or squoval. Price: just your base.

6. Red chrome French tips.

Red chrome French tips

A sheer nude base with thin, metallic red tips. Ask for: French tips in red, chrome on the tips only.

Gold

7. Gold French tips.

Gold French tips.

The easiest way to look “done” for both Christmas and New Year. Ask for: nude or milky base, thin gold tips. A French add-on is commonly $10 to $25 on the menus we’ve collected.

8. Gold foil accent.

Gold foil accent

Flecks of gold foil on a deep green, navy or wine base. Ask for: one-colour gel plus foil on one or two accent nails.

Tartan and plaid

9. Tartan tips.

Red-and-green or navy plaid only on the tips, nude underneath. Ask for: hand-painted tartan French. This is detailed line work, so expect a higher art charge and a longer appointment.

10. One tartan accent nail.

One tartan accent nail.

Full plaid on the ring finger, solid red or green on the rest. Ask for: one-colour gel plus one hand-painted accent. Cheaper than full tartan, same effect in photos.

Minimalist festive

11. Tiny bows.

Tiny bows.

A small painted bow, or a single 3D bow, on a milky pink base. Ask for: 2D painted bows for short nails; 3D bows work best on extensions or BIAB so they don’t snag.

12. Snowflake on milky nude.

Snowflake on milky nude

One delicate white snowflake per hand on a sheer base. Ask for: milky or sheer gel plus fine-line snowflake art.

13. Micro stars on nude.

Micro stars on nude

Little gold or silver stars dotted near the cuticle. Ask for: nude gel plus star stickers or studs. Low-key enough for the office.

Short-nail festive

14. Micro French in red or gold.

Micro French in red or gold

A very thin tip line on short, natural-length nails. Ask for: short squoval, micro French. Perfect if you type all day.

15. Single red dot.

Single red dot

One glossy red dot near the base of each nail on a sheer pink. Ask for: sheer gel plus dot art. If you’d rather skip gel entirely, a regular manicure with polish starts at $20 to $35 (93 salons).

Wearing open-toe heels to the party? A matching pedicure starts at $35 to $50 (85 salons, median $40).

Finish the look (optional)

Nails first, but if it’s party season, these pair well:

  • Lash lift (starts at $50 to $85, 103 salons): curl and lift with zero daily effort, lasting well past New Year.
  • Lash extensions (starts at $70 to $105, 119 salons): for more drama. Not sure which? See our lash lift vs lash extensions guide.
  • Brow shaping (starts at $10 to $25, 76 salons): a quick tidy that sharpens every photo.
  • Hair styling (starts at $25 to $50, 174 salons): a blow-dry or simple curls on the day.

When to book what: your Christmas 2026 countdown

Gel lasts about two to three weeks before it starts to grow out or lift (here’s how long gel polish really lasts). Do your set around 18 to 21 December and it should still look good on 25 December and, with a bit of care, on New Year’s Eve.

When Date (2026) What to do
3 to 4 weeks before by Sun 29 Nov Book your nail slot (and lash slot) for 18 to 22 Dec. Weekend slots that week go first.
2 to 3 weeks before 1 to 6 Dec Last comfortable window to book the rush week. If your office party is early December, do a first set now.
1 week before Fri 18 Dec Lash lift, brow shaping.
3 to 6 days before 19 to 22 Dec Gel, BIAB or extensions with your Christmas design. Lash extensions.
Day before / day of 24 to 25 Dec Blow-dry or styling. Pack cuticle oil.
New Year’s Eve Thu 31 Dec Your set should still be wearable. Switching designs? Book a soak-off and new set for 29 to 30 Dec.

Two parties, two looks? Book an early-December set (midnight blue or minimalist), then a fresh set around 20 December (red, gold or tartan). Gel nails need a proper removal between sets, so factor in the soak-off. If you’re doing back-to-back sets, our guide on how often you can get gel nails is worth two minutes.

What it costs: budget vs splurge

These are sums of the typical starting prices above, so treat them as a floor, not a quote.

  • Nails only, budget: gel plus a small accent, roughly $50 to $105.
  • Nails only, splurge: extensions or BIAB plus detailed art (tartan, 3D bows), roughly $85 to $145 and up.
  • Whole party look, budget: gel ($50) + brow shaping ($15) + blow-dry ($30), about $95.
  • Whole party look, splurge: extensions with art (~$145) + lash extensions (~$105) + brows (~$25) + styling (~$50), about $325.

Add $10 to $20 if you need an old set soaked off. Want the full price breakdown? See how much a gel manicure costs in Singapore and nail extension prices.

A little Christmas spirit

Christmas is a public holiday in Singapore. For Christians it marks the birth of Jesus, and for most of the island it’s also the season of Orchard Road lights, long dinners and time with family and friends. Whatever your plans, nails are a small, fun way to join in.
