Gel Manicure Price in Singapore 2026: What Gel Nails Really Cost
A plain one-colour gel manicure in Singapore typically costs $36 to $77, with a median of $48 across the 32 salon menus we reviewed. The cheapest standard gel manicure we found was $26, a gel pedicure usually runs about $10 more, and removal, when it’s charged separately, adds $10 to $20.
So the headline price is only part of the story. Art, removal, extensions and where you book all move the number, and how long the set lasts decides what you actually pay per week. This guide breaks all of that down with real menu prices.

Gel Manicure Prices in Singapore at a Glance
During our marketplace research (April to September 2026) we read the menus of Singapore nail salons, from heartland shops to specialist studios. For each salon we took the cheapest standard, plain one-colour gel manicure and left out first-trial offers, promotions, packages, express versions and men’s prices.
| Tier | Gel manicure | Share of salons | What’s usually different |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget | Under $40 | About 1 in 3 | Mall kiosks, heartland salons, home studios |
| Mid-range | $40 to $59 | About 1 in 3 | Neighbourhood nail bars and beauty salons, more colour choice |
| Premium | $60 and up | About 1 in 3 | Nail-only studios in town and Japanese-style studios, longer prep |
The middle of the market sits right around $48. The cheapest standard gel manicure we found was $26 and the dearest was $88. Most fell between $36 and $77.
One pattern stood out in our data: the premium tier is mostly specialist nail studios in Orchard, the CBD and Katong, plus Japanese-style studios, while the budget tier is mostly mall-kiosk and heartland salons. Same gel, very different prep time and setting.
Gel Nail Prices by Service
| Service | Typical price | On how many menus |
|---|---|---|
| Gel manicure (one colour) | Median $48, most $36 to $77 | 32 |
| Express gel manicure | Usually $8 to $20 less than the salon’s standard gel | 10 salons listing both |
| Gel pedicure | Median $58, most $39 to $87 | 25 |
| Gel removal (soak-off) | Usually $10 to $20 | 11 |
| Classic manicure, no gel (for reference) | Median $28, most $20 to $35 | 21 |
Express gel. Many salons sell a quicker gel with less cuticle work. At the 10 salons that list both, the express version was a median $13 cheaper, and the typical express gel cost about $34. Good for a quick refresh; less ideal if your cuticles need attention.
Gel pedicure. At the 24 salons listing both, a gel pedicure cost a median $10 more than the same salon’s gel manicure. A few charge the same; one charged nearly $40 more.
Gel vs classic. At the 18 salons that list both, gel cost a median $28 more than a classic manicure. You’re paying for the curing, the longer wear and the soak-off later.
What Pushes the Price Up
1. Nail art. A plain colour is the base price. French tips, chrome, cat-eye, hand-painted designs and 3D work are usually charged per nail or per design on top. Ask for the price of the exact look you want, not the “from” price, and bring a photo.
2. Removal of your old set. Some salons fold the soak-off into a new set; others charge it separately, usually $10 to $20. Removing hard gel or extensions costs more: the menus that listed it charged about $35 to $60. Reviews we read mention surprise soak-off charges, so ask before you sit down.
3. Extensions or overlays. Adding length is a different service. Nail extension sets start at a median of about $123 on the 16 menus we reviewed; see our nail extensions price guide for the full picture. A gel overlay for strength (the family BIAB belongs to) appeared on only three menus, at about $60 to $120 for a full set.
4. Where you book. Specialist studios in town and Japanese-style studios sit in the premium tier. Heartland salons and home studios sit in the budget tier.
5. Prep and time. A “classic” or “signature” gel usually means proper cuticle work, shaping and a longer session. That’s what the extra $10 to $20 over express buys.
6. Nett or “++”. Some menus quote a nett price; others add GST on top. Check which one you’re looking at.
The Cheapest Gel Prices You See Online
Headline gel prices of about $18 to $30 do exist, but in our research they were almost always anniversary promos, first-trial offers, deal-site prices or express sets, not the salon’s everyday price. They’re a fair way to try somewhere new. Just don’t budget your regular refresh on them, and check whether removal is included.
Packages deserve the same care. Pay per visit until you know you like a salon, and only then think about anything prepaid.
What Gel Nails Cost per Week of Wear
This is where gel earns its premium. On hands, gel polish typically lasts about two to three weeks before regrowth or lifting shows. Our guide to how long gel polish lasts covers what shortens or stretches that.
Using the medians above, here’s a rough picture. These are our estimates, rounded, not quotes.
| How you wear it | Roughly per week | Roughly per year |
|---|---|---|
| Gel manicure every 3 weeks, removal included | About $16 | About $800 to $850 |
| Gel manicure every 3 weeks, plus a $15 removal | About $21 | About $1,100 |
| Gel manicure every 2 weeks, plus a $15 removal | About $32 | About $1,600 |
| Express gel ($34) every 3 weeks, removal included | About $11 | About $600 |
Regular polish is cheaper per visit, but it tends to chip within days. If you redid a $28 classic manicure every week to keep it looking fresh, you’d spend more per week than on gel, with more salon trips.
How often you can keep going without hurting your nails is its own question. Our guide on how often you can get gel nails explains the cadence and when to take a break.
How to Get a Fair Price
- Ask for the price of the look you want, art and all, not the “from” price.
- Ask whether removal is included, and what it costs if not.
- Check nett or “++” before you compare salons.
- Choose express or classic on purpose. Express saves about $13; classic gives you proper cuticle work.
- Never peel gel off to save the removal fee. It strips the top layers of your nail. The American Academy of Dermatology advises having gel removed by your manicurist and wearing broad-spectrum sunscreen on your hands before the lamp.
- Pay per visit before you commit to a package.
