Cheaper and pricier areas
- Cheapest: Sengkang, around $100. Next come Pasir Ris and Bukit Panjang, around $120.
- Middle: Tampines and Bugis, around $130.
- Priciest: Kampong Glam, around $190, then Orchard Road and Chinatown, around $160.
4 things that change your bill
- Hair length. The “from” price is for short hair. Long hair is usually about $60 more, so quote your length when you book.
- Cold or digital. A digital perm uses heated rods and usually costs about $100 more than a cold perm at the same salon.
- “++” prices. “$130++” means GST, and sometimes a service charge, goes on top.
- Cut and treatment. Many salons sell a cut or a treatment with the perm. Ask whether your price includes them.
