Beauty Near Marine Parade MRT (Katong): Salons, Malls and What to Book in Singapore (2026)
Looking for beauty near Marine Parade MRT, or anywhere in Katong? Get off at TE27: Parkway Parade is right there for value facials and nails, and the East Coast Road malls and Joo Chiat shophouses cover boutique hair, facials, head spas and old-school barbers. Expect a first-trial facial for about $28 to $50, a manicure for about $25 to $50, and a men’s cut from about $15.
There’s no stop simply called “Katong”, even though that’s what most people search for. Marine Parade opened on the Thomson-East Coast Line in June 2024 (LTA’s TEL page has the station list), and it put one of Singapore’s biggest east-coast beauty belts on the train map.
We track 168 beauty businesses around this station, spread across 11 malls and neighbourhoods. Here’s what’s where and 9 places worth booking.
What’s Around Marine Parade MRT
Think of the station as two zones. Parkway Parade is the big family mall next to the station. North of it, East Coast Road and Joo Chiat Road are the Katong heritage belt, packed with boutique salons in malls and shophouses.
- Parkway Parade. The anchor, an established family mall with a trusted-chain mix. Value and familiarity drive it: facial trials, manicures, waxing, lashes and scalp care. Our Parkway Parade beauty guide goes floor by floor.
- Parkway Centre. The office building nearby, with ground-floor foot reflexology, nail bars and neighbourhood hair.
- The Marine Parade estate. The HDB blocks around Marine Parade Central and Marine Terrace, strong on lash, brow and facial studios.
- The Flow. A modern building on East Coast Road that has quietly become Katong’s facial and head spa destination, with skin studios and hair salons stacked floor by floor.
- Katong V, i12 Katong and Katong Square. The East Coast Road family malls. Katong V leans towards premium facials, i12 Katong towards everyday hair, nails, threading and express facials. Roxy Square, on the same road, adds a few more salons.
- Katong Shopping Centre and Katong Plaza. The older heritage buildings: a cluster of barbers and multicultural hair salons, kids’ cuts, massage and value pricing.
- KINEX. On Tanjong Katong Road, with Korean hair salons, barbers and one-stop beauty. It sits at the northern end of the belt, so it’s nearer Paya Lebar than Marine Parade.
- The Joo Chiat and Katong shophouses. The biggest cluster of all: artisan barbers doing hot towel shaves, boutique hair salons, facial spas and bridal makeup.
Planning a slow Saturday out here? Our beauty day out in Katong and Joo Chiat strings it together with food stops.

Getting There: The Lay of the Land
Marine Parade MRT (TE27) is on the Thomson-East Coast Line, and Parkway Parade sits right beside it, so a quick manicure or facial trial takes no planning at all.
For Katong, head north to East Coast Road, where The Flow, Katong V, i12 Katong and Katong Square sit along one stretch. Joo Chiat Road runs inland from there. The further up Joo Chiat you go, the closer you get to Eunos and Paya Lebar, so check the map on each salon’s Glamingo page before you set off. Tanjong Katong station, one stop west on the same line, is another option for the western end.
Shophouse salons and barbers are small and busy, so book before you go. Singapore is hot and humid all year round, so do the walking first and the blow-dry last.
